I'm Deborah Kattler Kupetz, I love experiments, and I’ve been fortunate to have a mosaic career path starting my first great run as a manufacturer in the clothing industry for 10 years.
I have a double master's in Social Work and Gerontology just because I found the subject matter really interesting and it ripened me as a human. I’ve worked as an advisor for a mayor, launched a first fundraising program using music as a vehicle, started an early internet company—one of the first focused on philanthropy and non-profits, taught at FIDM, have been part of some amazing leadership groups, attended the TED conference for over 25 years, produced a TEDx conference, started the first green events company and ran a bespoke events company for many years spinning-off Recenterpiece™ and Second Day Events™.
During the pandemic, I worked with an international virtual events startup. I’ve honed my observational skills, passion for synthesis, and pattern recognition superpower into investment strategies and strategic support.
I know how to take nothing and turn it into something, and I enjoy great collaboration. I move fast and break things (one of my business partners is very careful), and what falls down always reveals the treasure inside. I confidently see beyond the present notice the new and what's possible. And fun, there is no reason to not enjoy this ride. The through line to my work mosaic is being very comfortable with change and inspired to go for it.
