Glamping = Glamour + Camping
I’m always impressed and amused by the way culture has a way of making friends with nature, and “glamping” is one such comfy way of upping our outdoor time. Forget foraging for an even ground of twigs and dirt to rest upon, glamping is the clever combination of glamour and camping; imagine luxury meets small nature-enveloped structures, like yurts, tipis, pods, bell tents, safari tents, tent cabins, and tree houses.
Glamping is more than a whitty fad of converted ex-trailer home villas, in fact, it’s a global phenomenon! Soak in the delight of knowing that Yellowstone National Park is just 10 minutes from A-list Yellowstone Under Canvas, where individual teepees and group sites also come with the option of an outdoor activity package. What I appreciate is how glamping provides an opportunity for city and non-nature folk to trek outside their comfort zone, and safely saunter into more rugged environments...with the option of Wi-Fi not far off. P.S. Let’s back up for a moment...you read correctly: tree houses...for adult sized people! Talk about a posh perch, TLC’s travel show Treehouse Masters spotlights some of the most elaborate, high tech, eco-friendly treehouses around the world! Let your next anniversary adventure or magical honeymoon truly sweep you off your feet at an abode nestled IN the Amazon Rainforest.
